In spite of a high cost of FFr 23,800 taxes not included (266-MHz processor, 10.4" screen), Panasonic's CF 27 portable computer is Bouygues Telecom's best choice. The solid machine (which can fall one metre without damage according to the manufacturer) is used by Bouygues Telecom's maintenance staff. The investment has paid for itself according to the French GSM operator, compared to standard machines, much more fragile.

E-flottegestion allows the user to follow the mobile phone consumption of his company's employees, in return for a price starting at FFr 150 per month. Available from the customer section of the French GSM operator's Internet site, the new service by Bouygues Telecom Entreprises includes a range of sort and filter functions to help the user refine his cost control and analysis. Call details for each user is an optional function. To enter the service through his navigator, the user enters a password and user name.
