According to IDC, the French website host market will be worth FFr 5.8bn in turnover (not including associated services), by 2004, compared to FFr 594mn in 1999. The largest trend is that less and less clients are demanding that their sites be communally hosted on one server, representing only 37% of webhost revenue in 2004, compared to 85% in 1999. IDC forecasts that the webhost market should grow by 58% on average by 2004.

French industrial companies purchased FFr 7.5bn worth of computer services in 1999. According to the French Secretary of State for Industry, naval, aeronautic, and railroad manufacturers devote 45% of their budget to these purchases, but on the average, companies allocate 30% of their budget to these purchases.
