FRANCE: YOPLAIT CONTINUES TO INNOVATE

In 1999, Yoplait is to launch new products in France at about the same rate as for the past several years (37 in 1997 and 35 in 1998. Yoplait's recent new product launches include the Mousse de Yaourt, with fruit and pieces of fruit, launched under the Panier de Yoplait brand. Wanted Pancakes comes in three varieties: American pancakes with fromage frais, with a cream dessert and with a milk shake. Yoplait recommends putting these new products either among chilled dairy desserts, or in the chilled ready sweets sector.

Danone has launched a Charles Gervais rice pudding, a soft and creamy dairy dessert available in two flavours (vanilla and raisin/caramel). Recommended retail price: FFr 9.90 for a pack of 4 pots of 110g (vanilla flavour). The vanilla flavour is also available in a 500g pot.
