Montedison accepts new takeover offer by Fiat-EDF group

Fiat SpA's and Electricite de France SA's (EDF) increased acquisition offer of $5.66 billion (6.49 billion euros) has been accepted by Montedison SpA. Fiat and EDF are leading a consortium to acquire Montedison.
