Fish oil revolution!

Article Abstract:

Flavored oils and tablet forms of oils have increased the demand for fish oils. The health benefits from omega-3 in these products have attracted many health conscious consumers. Lysi hf, an Iceland based company that has been producing products like cod liver oil since 1938 has seen a spurt in demand for its products. The company has also witnessed tremendous growth in its exports, in fact, 90% of the company's production is exported. The company has opened a new production plant in Reykjavik. The main problem faced by the company is supply of raw materials.

New concept rock lobster trap

Article Abstract:

A new trap for rock lobsters gathering is being developed by South African design consultancy, Olgear. The existing methods of lobster fishing are discussed vis-a-vis the conveniences the new trap would be able to offer. The design and mechanism of the trap is also discussed.

France runs short of fish

Article Abstract:

The lack of raw material in the ports of France is reducing the production of fish processing and trade industries. The problems like increased demand and increased fuel cost and government quota systems regarding the production are making the situation even worst.
