Five are charged in case involving CAO Singapore

China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corp. of Singapore is being investigated by Singapore regulators for an array of crimes that hinge on a derivatives trade scandal that broke last year leaving the state owned jet-fuel trader with $500 million in losses. Five top executives are on trial, including Chen Jiulin the suspended Chief Executive Officer and Jia Changbin the Chairman.

Shell settles European Case - U.S. style

Royal Dutch-Shell has agreed to pay $47 mil in US attorney fees in a securities fraud settlement with European shareholders totaling $352.6 mil. Paying the fees for t he American attorneys, who represented the shareholders, represents a significant entry of American litigation to Europe.

Shell to pay $151 million in fines to resolve reserves inquiries

Article Abstract:

Royal Dutch/Shell Group agreed to pay fines of $151 million to settle accusations that it mis stated its oil and gas reserves. Shell had downgraded its reserves by 23% or 4.47 billion barrels.
