Flight upgrade: with Delta reeling, chief plans unusual bet on premium routes

Article Abstract:

Gerald Grinstein, chief executive officer at Delta Air Lines, hopes to stave off bankcruptcy for the airline by fashioning it as a long-haul carrier, an area in which major arlines have managed to hold their own against their low-cost competitors. Grinstein will also gamble on customers' willingness to pay a little more for tickets in exchange for added amenities and services.

Delta, pilots may be moving closer to agreement
