Political advertisements are increasing their impact on Asian elections as some Asian nations become more democratic. An examination of the ban on political advertisements in the Philippines and an analysis of Thaksin Shinawatra's election are provided.

Cebu Pacific and Air Philippines rev up their expansion hopes

Cebu Pacific Air and Air Philippines are planning to introduce international flights with the approval of the Philippine Civil Aviation Board. Cebu Pacific is also planning to add a business-class section and expects international service to begin in November or December.
