Interbrew will take a charge to cover forced sale of Bass Brewers

Interbrew SA announced that it would take a charge against its 2000 earnings in order to cover the mandatory sale of the newly-acquired Bass Brewers. Interbrew will take a charge of 1.2 billion euros.

Interbrew earnings rose 47% in half, beating outlook
