France Telecom seeks more of venture

France Telecom SA executives said that they are looking into buying out partner Deutsche Telecom AG's share in the Global One venture, although the German carrier has shown no plans to sell. If France Telecom is successful, it will likely buy out the Global One stake of U.S. partner Sprint Corp. The overall value of Global One, which provides phone and data services to corporations in more than 40 countries, is estimated to be several billion dollars.
