Freeserve shares drop as loss widens

Article Abstract:

Freeserve PLC saw its share value fall following the announcement that the company posted a widening a loss for the quarter ending on August 21, 1999. Freeserve posted 5.2 million pound sterling (8.2 million euros) in operating losses for the quarter. During the previous 12-week period ending on May 1, the company posted 810,000 pound sterling in operating losses.

NTL reports strong results for 2nd quarter

NTL Inc. has posted positive second-quarter results, but is still trying to win back investors. The company's second-quarter earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization increased 95% to GBP115 million (Euro186.8 million) from GBP59 million in the year-earlier period.

Liberty Media's loss narrows after big write-downs last year

Liberty Media Corp. posted a $464 million (410.2 million euros) net loss for the 2003 second quarter. This is compared to a $3.1 billion loss and a major write-down in the same 2002 period.
