Hotel Leela Venture (HLV), in which Leela Scottish Lace Ltd has a controlling stake, began its operations with a 250-room hotel in Mumbai. Now, HLV owns and operates 2 luxury hotels in Mumbai and Goa. Its Mumbai hotel, Leela Kempinski, has 430 rooms, while Leela Beach of Goa has 220 rooms. HLV plans to set up hotels in Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi. It has signed a management and marketing agreement with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts (India) Ltd. (gs)

EID Parry (India) Ltd (EPL) has a two sugar plants with a capacity of 5000 tonnes crushed per day (TCD) at Nellikuppam and 3000 TCD at Pugalur in Tamil Nadu. It commissioned its bagasse based co-generation plant during June 1997.
