Gardening review

Article Abstract:

The UK gardening market was worth around 2.55 billion pounds sterling in 1995, and this sector continues to grow at a time when the DIY market as a whole is experiencing difficulties. The largest sector is growing stock, with sales of 867 million pounds sterling in 1995. Other strong areas include garden tools, garden buildings and garden chemicals. The future of the market will depend upon efforts by manufacturers and retailers to boost interest in gardening among people who own a garden but currently undertake little gardening.
