GasNatural, Repsol mull challenging Mexican deal

Article Abstract:

Grupo Gas Natural and Grupo Repsol are considering plans to file actions before the proper authorities to protest the awarding of a gas-supply contract to Consorcio Proyectos de Energia by the government of Mexico City. Grupo Gas Natural and Grupo Repsol, which formed a partnership to bid for the contract, maintains that it can see no reason why the project was awarded to a competitor when it offered the same amount tendered by Consorcio Proyectos de Energia. The two firms are afforded two weeks within which to file a complaint assailing the decision of the Mexican authorities.
