Glaxo to cut price of AIDS drug used in Africa

GlaxoSmithKline PLC will cut the price of its Combivir AIDS drug, which is used in Africa and in other developing regions of the world. The company lowered the drug's price from $1.70 (1.54 euros) per day to 90 cents.

GlaxoSmithKline pretax profit climbed 19% in first quarter
