Greener system cuts freezing time by a quarter!

Article Abstract:

The usage of ammonia and carbon dioxide for freezing in the new refit on the Parlevliet en van der Plas's 21-year-old pelagic trawler Dirk-Dirk is discussed. The two natural refrigerants replace the Freon R22/brine system. The mechanism and freezing time benefits of using these natural refrigerants are discussed.
