Ground power market consolidates

Heico Corp has sold Trilectron Industries to Hobart Ground Power, a manufacturer of ground power units, frequency converters and transformers. The acquisition, worth US$52.5 million, is still subject to approval under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act and is expected to be completed by yearend 2000. It brings further consolidation in the ground power market for airports and airlines.
