H-P's board ousts Fiorina as CEO

Carly Fiorina was forced to resign as Chief Executive Officer from Hewlett-Packard Co. when she refused the Board's plan for authority delegation to the heads of Hewlett-Packard Co. business units. Share price is down 50 percent since the beginning of her tenure and key performance targets were missed after the Compaq merger.

Mr. Hurd has apportioned the task to strategy executives Shane Robison and Marius Haas. The computer giant has revenue of $80 billion per year.
