Swedish clothing retailer H&M Hennes & Mauritz AB is planning to introduce a more expensive line of clothing, citing i ncreasing competition in lower-priced fashions. H&M plans to open 10 new stores in the next year.

KLM to slash jobs and trim capacity

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is laying off employees and cutting capacity due to developments overseas. The moves were caused by the 2003 Iraqi war and by the spread of the SARS virus in Asia.

SAS plans to cut 4,000 jobs, freeze wages in restructuring
