Renault's net increases 6.3% on sales boost

Renault SA reported an improvement of 6.3% in its net income for the first-half of 1999. The earnings results were higher-than-expected. Renault was helped by strong automobile sales in Europe and by strong demand for specific car models. The company posted 720 million euros in net income for the first-half. Renault's revenue increased 5.6% to 19.6 billion euros in the period.

Renault reassures market after drop in its revenue

Article Abstract:

Renault SA posted a decline of 1.9% in its revenues for the three months ending on September 30, 1999. The car maker posted 58.3 billion French francs (8.9 billion euros) in revenues during the third-quarter. Renault said that its profitability goals for the 1999 year will not be hurt by the quarterly results.

Renault's net profit jumps 86%
