Festival spirit

Article Abstract:

It is vital that major construction projects planned to mark the Millennium in the UK are devised in a constructive and creative spirit, according to architect Ralph Tubbs, who was responsible for designing the Dome of Discovery, a key feature of the Festival of Britain. He is in favour of celebrating the Millennium, but does not approve of the choice of the theme of time for the main Millennium exhibition in Greenwich. He feels that this theme eliminates everything, including human beings.
