TV mags do some bodybuilding

Article Abstract:

Several of Canada's television listing magazines had makeovers to cope with the intensifying competition and continuously expanding lineup of channels. Among these listing magazines which have been revamped are Broadcast Week, the Globe and Mail and Golden Horseshow, which have added feature pages and adopted a bolder logo and a more consistent typerface. On the other hand, 'Starweek' has expanded its listing and included news features.

Article Abstract:

Market researchers are turning to the use of cash payments or cheques to convince consumers to respond to their surveys. Studies conducted by the Professional Marketing Research Society in Toronto, Ontario, and the Marketing and Opinion Research reveals that refusal rates have increased markedly. Therefore, to get an adequate response rate for surveys, market researchers offer incentives.
