Hierarchical cellular network design with channel allocation

Article Abstract:

A network design model for complex cellular services is created using data like cost, bandwidth, demand per area and income, which can be very helpful to network designers in facilities planning and design. Channel allocation to each tower is also done which is the most common problem faced in cellular design.

The capacitated minimum spanning tree problem: on improved multistar constraints

Article Abstract:

A revised set of multistar constraints and valid inequalities are derived using subset sun constraints and Lagrangean relaxation for Capacitated Minimum Spanning Tree (CMST) that arises in the design of centralized telecommunication networks. A new arc elimination test is also suggested for the CMST problem.

A sum of disjoint products algorithm for reliability evaluation of flow networks

Article Abstract:

Research examining ways of evaluating the unreliability of flow networks is presented, with particular focus on interdependent binary-valued random variables of the arcs' capacities. A revised algorithm is developed for reducing execution times.
