Hong Kong, Star Movies, Canal Plus sign deal

Article Abstract:

Hong Kong based TV channel, Star Movies (News Corp) will broadcast via video on demand, the future films produced by Studio Canal (owned by French pay TV firm, Canal Plus) and Working Title Picture, a 50:50 joint venture of Canal Plus and Universal Pictures. These companies are all owned by Vivendi Universal . The three-year agreement with Star Movies will also allow the latter to broadcast at least 45 films in Studio Canal's catalogue, as well as films produced by big US studios bought by the latter.

CANADA: LAW SUIT AGAINST BIOFARMA

Article Abstract:

Following a verdict rendered by the superior court in Ontario, reinstating the legal complaint concerning prescriptions of medication against obesity (Ponderal and Redux), the French pharmaceutical group, Biofarma, and its distribution partner, Servier Canada, will face a court battle.
