Hong Kong's reputation is damaged

Article Abstract:

The issuance of Hong Kong's Court of Final Appeal of a 'clarification' regarding its earlier ruling has stained the reputation of the former British colony as Asia's premier financial district. The court's ruling that three mainland-born children have the right to stay in Hong Kong and that any law passed by China's National People's Congress is invalid if it violates Hong Kong's Basic Law angered the Chinese government. The move has undermined the credibility of Hong Kong's legal system which might have an adverse impact in the long run.
