Hoover prevails in four lawsuits tied to free-travel promotion

Article Abstract:

Hoover European Appliance Group prevailed in four lawsuits tied to an embarrassing free-travel promotion. Under its ill-fated free-travel promotion, the company promised two free international flights to anybody in Britain, UK, and Ireland who bought an appliance for as little as 100 pounds sterling ($164). Harry Cichy, the head of a consumer group that calls itself the Hoover Holiday Pressure Group, said teh group's lawyers will examine verdicts in 14 test cases before making a decision on whether to file a class-action suit.
