Zellers, Bay team for cross promotion

Article Abstract:

Sister retailing chains Zellers Inc and Hudson's Bay Co have launched a cross-promotional effort at the Mississauga, Ontario-based Square One Shopping Centre mall. Each mall-based store is featuring the other's products to provide shoppers with a convenient, one-stop destination for all their needs. The chains also plan to run a series of cross-promotional gimmicks, such as offering buyers a free supply of Zeller's private label detergent if they purchase a washing machine at Hudson's Bay.

Taking stock

Article Abstract:

Campbell Soup Co has redesigned the label in all the 54 products in its Condensed Soup brand without losing the warmth and fuzzy image that customers have become accustomed to. The new labels will feature an updated typeface, a picture of a bowl of soup, a recipe and a new color banding system that categorizes the varieties into subgroups. Thus, the labels will make it easier for customers to spot their favorite variety based on the labels' color and picture.
