Hot training skills at Bristol International

Article Abstract:

Bristol International Airport in the UK has chosen International Fire Training Equipment to supply it with a Boeing 767-style simulator. The US$220,000 rig provides training for fire-fighting and rescue skills under a range of different scenarios. It features 16 external fires including engine and undercarriage fires. The 767 simulator is the latest in a range of rigs developed by IFTE, including training facilities for BAA at London Heathrow and fire training establishments.

Burning up-simulation steps on the gas

Article Abstract:

Simulation, the leading supplier of training rigs, has developed training facilities for Birmingham International, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports, as well as a military training rig at Manston in Kent. Simulation rigs use liquid petroleum gas to generate fires, and can create internal or external fires for fire fighters to practice and hone their skills. An inferno can be created and shut down in seconds.
