Hutchison's new LINE

Article Abstract:

Hong Kong-based Logistics Information Network Enterprise, or LINE, has signed a contract to provide Reebok International Ltd. with supply-chain-management software. The company will provide online order processing, shipment from the ports of parent company Hutchison Port Holdings and conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa Ltd., and the online tracking of shipments. It is hoped that the LINE system will shorten the time that Reebok's products take to get to market.

UPS delivers logistics to Asia

Article Abstract:

United Parcel Service Inc.'s warehouse in Singapore is the company's first step to better logistics service in the Asian region. With the business of National Semiconductor Corp., UPS is hoping to establish additional contracts with other companies that have plants located in Asia, especially in the electronics, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and personal computers and peripherals industries.
