ICBC to focus on emerging markets

Article Abstract:

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China will concentrate on acquiring banks in emerging markets. ICBC made the nation's largest-ever overseas purchase when it bought a 20% stake in South Africa-based Standard Bank Group Ltd. for $5.5 bil, and has recently bought an 80% stake in Macau's Seng Heng Bank.
