SONY TO GROUP INDIA BUSINESS UNDER ONE ROOF

Article Abstract:

Sony Corporation has decided to bring all its group companies in India under a single entity. Its group companies in India include Sony India, Sony Music, Sony Columbia Tristar and Sony Entertainment Television. The group has already formed a four- member managing committee, which is led by Mr Y Kubo, the chief of Sony India. The managing committee will have one member from each of group companies, represented by respective managing directors. (gs)

PAK EXPORTS TO INDIA UP 170% ON SURPLUS SUGAR

Exports from Pakistan increased by 170 percent in 1997-98 over exports in 1996-97. Pakistan exported products worth $95 million to India in 1997-98 against $36 million in 1996-97. Pakistan's imports from India declined by 27 percent to $150.55 million in 1997-98 against $204 million in 1996-97. (rk)(m)
