New classical music, that is music written after World War II, has not found universal acceptance with audiences, however there are signs that of growing understanding and acceptance between both composers and audiences. A discussion of new music and recommended samplings are presented.

Gary Bauer and the virtue deficit

Bauer is attempting to refocus the Republican Party on social and moral issues in an effort to bring religious right politics into the mainstream. His ideas seriously challenge the currently popular centrist political positions emphasized by Democrats and Republicans alike.
