Independent 80 Column Cards for the IIe

Article Abstract:

Two eighty column cards for the Apple IIe are reviewed. Ramview80, from Elite Software, in addition to offering an eighty column display, can be upgraded to an extra 64K RAM. A simple soldering procedure for upgrading is described. Vision80, distributed in the United Kingdom by Pace Software Supplies, has these features in addition to others: full input to printer from eighty column mode; facility for INPUT and GET statements; communications facility for both the II and the IIe; and coupling with the Europlus microcomputer.

Graphic cards reviewed

Article Abstract:

Improved speed and performance can be gained by installing high-quality graphic cards, although the cost can be quite expensive. Graphic card prices can range from over 1000 pounds sterling down to just 40 pounds sterling depending on the speed and power. Extra video random access memory can help improve picture quality by increasing the number of colours available and providing clearer resolution. Firms should choose appropriate graphic cards which are compatible with the work being undertaken.

Throw in the cards

Article Abstract:

The days when baseball cards were an excellent investment are now past, the victim of an overzealous industry and clientele. The market peaked and is now being glutted. It will be nice when collectors continue to do so for the love of the game instead of for gain.
