Indigo Books Music and more Inc has announced that it will soon offer customers wireless Internet shopping. The service will allow customers to connect to the Indigo.ca website through hand-held wireless devices such as digital PCS phones and Palm pilots and buy books, music, gifts and flowers. To have the service available by Apr 2000, the company has collaborated with Bank of Montreal, Bell Mobility and wireless software provider 724 Solutions.

Indigo 'realigns' marketing

Mitch Faigan has resigned as advertising director of Toronto, Canada-based Indigo Books and Music Inc. and its online arm, Indigo Online. Indigo Books executive VP and Indigo Online Pres Peter Cooper has indicated that the move is due to a departmental realignment and that Faigan's former post has been integrated into another role. Former senior VP of marketing Jo-Ann Lefko-Johnston has also resigned.

Yahoo! mall launches with 26 vendors

Yahoo! Canada has signed up 26 merchants for its virtual mall that aims to become a premier one-stop shop. The retailers who agreed to sell their products at Yahoo!'s e-retail center at http://shopping.yaahoo.ca include La Senza Lingerie, Hush Puppies, Indigo, The Body Shop, Sport Mart aand The Brick. Yahoo! is still taking offers from merchants interested in joining its virtual mall.
