A generalized optimization strategy for dynamic CO2 enrichment in a greenhouse

Article Abstract:

A generalized optimization strategy for dynamic carbon dioxide (CO2) enrichment in a greenhouse is developed from general models of crop photosynthesis, ventilation and dry matter production rates. The solution of a functional differential equation yields the optimal CO2 trajectory. Prior to implementation of the algorithm, however, special consideration should be given to issues involving the derivation of a discrete time version of the problem; fast computational procedures; real time filtering influences on and trajectory sensitivity to irradiance, ventilation, CO2 cost and dry matter value.

The logarithmic lease squares and the generalized pseudoinverse in estimating ratios

Article Abstract:

The logarithmic least squares method is used to estimate ratio scales from positive reciprocal matrix. However, this method cannot be applied in the case of multiple decision makers with a different number of judgements for each pair of objects. A general solution based on the generalized pseudoinverse approach is developed which allows the multiple decision maker problem to be treated similar to the case of a single decision maker.
