Intel's Barrett vows to continue communications buying spree

Article Abstract:

Craig Barrett, the president and chief executive of Intel Corp., said that the company would continue to make acquisitions in the communications sector. Intel has already spent over $10 billion (11.23 billion euros) in its acquisition strategy in the past two-and-a-half years.

Korea's Hynix and Micron start talks on strategic alliance

Intel may expand technology in new China plant

Article Abstract:

U.S. semiconductor manufacturer Intel Corp. is planning to build a new plant in Dalian, China. If the United States changes its high technology export restrictions, the Dalian plant may eventually manufacture microprocessors, Intel's main product.
