Champion Enters Talks With International Paper

Champion International Corp. has begun talks with International Paper Co. which could result in Champion being bought for $6.2 billion ($64 a share). In order to keep its deal with Champion, UPM-Kymmene Corp. may raise its bid to $66 a share or more.
