Iran keeps door open to talks, oversight of its nuclear program

Article Abstract:

Iran has ended cooperation with international nuclear investigators and has reinstalled its nuclear energy development, stopping just short of ending talks concerning Tehran's nuclear program. The International Atomic Energy Agency has reported Iran to the United Nations Security Council amidst fears of nuclear weapons development.

Libya's program on nuclear arms was haphazard: inspectors conclude effort left the nation far away from building a weapon

Results from investigations by the International Atomic Energy Agency indicate that Libya's nuclear weapons information was so incomplete and poorly managed that the nation was incapable of building a nuclear weapon. Gaps in information, however, may be explained by the unreliability of purchasing via the black market.

Suspects in Siemens probe point to Finance Chief

Former executives Michael Kutschenreuter and Reinhard Siekaczek have given evidence against Chief Executive Officer Joe Kaeser in the Siemens AG of Germany fraud trial. Mr. Kutschenreuter and Mr. Siekaczek say Mr. Kaeser knew of the alleged kick back scheme to win foreign telecommunications contracts.
