Valley of fear: Tajikistan

Article Abstract:

Muslim rebels in Tajikistan are battling a government they believe is run by communists. The country's political leaders are largely made up of members of the former communist party. Government forces are pushing the rebels out of the Gorno-Badakhshan province into Afghanistan.
