It isn't black and white

Article Abstract:

Child labor in Asia is a huge and persistent problem that international outcry has done little to mitigate, but an increasing focus on education and economic incentives may resolve it. Tens of millions of Asian children, at least 15% of those aged 10 to 14, work to help their families get by. Many schools are expensive, even if just for books and uniforms. Reformers hope to convince govts to make grade-school education mandatory wherever it is not now, rather than relying on boycotts that force children into worse work.

Now it is making the transition from manufacturing for small production runs to bigger ones as regional markets grow and trade barriers fall.
