UK brewing sector heats up

Article Abstract:

There is a strong trend towards consolidation, with a number of large deals having taken place recently. There was considerable competition to purchase Unicorn, a very small pub chain, and brewers are more interested in purchasing an existing chain than in extending their own chains gradually.
