JINDAL STRIPS POSTS Rs12-CR NET PROFIT
Article Abstract:
Jindal Strips Limited (JSL) has reported a net profit of Rs11.9 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 1998. During the period, JSL posted gross sales of Rs364.54 crore. Its stainless steel division posted a rise in sales to Rs228 crore (Rs194 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 1997). It also posted a rise in the stainless steel production to 57,107 tonnes (47,748 tonnes). The sponge iron division posted a rise in its sales to Rs172 crore (Rs143 crore). It produced 204,500 tonnes of sponge iron (178,000 tonnes). (ag)
