J.P. Morgan wins in Enron lawsuit against WestLB

Article Abstract:

When Enron declared bankcruptcy, J.P. Morgan Chase and Co. entered litigation to recoup financing it had provided for an Enron offsh ore financing vehicle called Mahonia Ltd. Though o ne of its litigants, WestLB A.G., refused to honor its letter of credit at the time, it has now been ruled to do so by an English court.

Court overturns order forcing WestLB to repay 808 million euros

Article Abstract:

The European Court of First Instance ruled that Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (WestLB) does not have to pay back 808 million euros in government aid. The repayment order was given by the European Union. However, the court said that the EU could recalculate the figure.

European Court sides with Coke against Germany
