Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has chosen Martin Agency Inc. and MediaVest Worldwide Inc. as its new advertising agencies. Top marketing executives are also expected to be replaced in the near future, as the company tries to overcome recent marketing failures.

Fleming to slash jobs as Kmart pact ends

Fleming Cos. announced that it will lay off 15% of its labor force due to the termination of its deal with Kmart Corp., which is in bankruptcy. Fleming will lay off around 1,800 workers.

Wessanen posts loss for quarter
