John Barrow, a senior principal at Olympic masterplanners HOK Sport would be at the vanguard of Livingstone's army of advisers for the 2012 Olympic games, setting London off as one of the biggest periods of redevelopment in its history. The architect would be instrumental in setting up an interim strategy group with the other masterplanners to bridge the gap between the bid and working up towards the Olympics proper.
