The British economy seems to be finally out of its recession, and it is expected to grow modestly in 1993. Manufacturing productivity, retail sales and home prices are all increasing, and businessmen are reporting renewed confidence for the year ahead.

Don't get depressed

Article Abstract:

Economic indicators such as the gross domestic product show a positive trend when compared to the Great Depression of the 1930s. Unemployment remains below 10%, which is modest when compared to the 22% rate of 1932.
