Paul Smits, the chief executive officer of KPN N.V., will resign from his post. Smits leaves the company as it confronts a major decline in telecommunications shares. Smits' replacement has yet to be named.

KPN calls off rights issue, ending speculation

KPN to launch 250 million bond to cut debt cost
