Billionaire Kirk Kerkorian plans to invest more heavily in General Motors, increasing both his ownership (to 12%) and his influence . Mr. Kerkorian is in favor of an alliance with Renault S.A., while CEO Rick Wagoner Jr. is opposed to such a partnership.
