Lernout and Hauspie Speech Products NV's chairman, Roel Pieper, unexpectedly resigned from his post after only two months in the position. The company has been charged with accounting fraud and is under bankruptcy protection.

Belgian court grants L&H protection from creditors

Lernout and Hauspie Speech Products NV has been granted bankruptcy protection from a court in Belgium. In return for the protection, the company must reorganize its operations within six months.
