TAGSL, NSC SIGN MoU FOR Rs30-CR FABRICATION UNIT

Teamasia Greaves Semiconductor Private Limited (TGS) makes semiconductors. It has signed a pact with the National Semiconductor Corporation (NSC) of USA to buy a 5-inch wafer fabrication unit from the latter for Rs30 crore. This move of TGS is part of its expansion programme. TGS is a joint venture of Teamasia Pte Ltd (TPL) and Greaves Ltd (GL). TPL holds 74 percent stake in TGS and GL the rest. (gs)

Its interest cost amounts to Rs19.95 lakh while depreciation is at Rs11.50 lakh. It has not allocated any amount for tax.
